Behavior Counselor

As a Behavior Counselor, you will ensure the safety, welfare, and best possible quality of life of the adults living in Tender Loving Care’s adult foster care homes. You will have an opportunity to assist clients in attaining their individual goals by fostering Independent Living Skills (ILS); providing coaching and instruction to clients; and supporting client treatment plans, strategies, and medical instructions. As a Behavior Counselor, you will participate in a variety of client-centered activities. Accurate medication administration and complete, appropriate documentation are critical components of your position.

Behavior Aide

In addition to meeting Behavior Counselor requirements, you must successfully complete the following to become a Behavior Aide:

In addition to meeting both the Behavior Counselor and Behavior Aide requirements, you must successfully complete the following to become a Behavior Specialist:

Minimum Qualifications for Employment

Schedules

Day Schedule [Full-Time]:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Afternoon/Weekend Schedule [Full-Time and Part-Time available]:
Monday through Friday 4:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Schedules vary and may be reviewed at interview.

NOC (Awake-Overnight) Schedule [Full-Time]:
Rotating schedule of four shifts on and four shifts off.
Monday through Thursday 10:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Fridays 10:00 p.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Saturdays 9:00 p.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Sundays 9:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Scheduled Call:
A variety of shifts with minimum requirements for hours per pay period.
